‘The Crown’ Season Four Trailer Features First Look At Princess Diana

The Crown Season 4 trailer has been released, and will feature a first look at Princess Diana.

The synopsis of the new season reads: “As the 1970s are drawing to a close, Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family find themselves preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), who is still unmarried at 30. While Charles’ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, as the transformation from teenager to Princess of Wales takes place, it is anything but a fairytale for Diana.”

The new season also stars Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, and Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher. Season 4 will feature 10 episodes, ranging from the time period between 1979 to 1990, and will debut on Netflix on November 15.

NBC Soap Opera “Days of Our Lives” Shuts Down Production for Two Weeks After Positive COVID-19 Test

Days of Our Lives is halting production for two weeks after a crew member tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The positive COVID-19 test was discovered as part of the show’s testing protocol and the production team member who tested positive is now in isolation for 14 days, according to Deadline

Now in the midst of its 56th season, the daytime soap opera will resume taping following the two-week production halt on Oct. 26, with new episodes airing as planned. When Days of Our Lives stopped filming at the height of the pandemic earlier this year, the show had enough episodes already filmed to air through October. This allowed them to resume production on Sept. 1.

President Trump Hits The Campaign Trail As Doctors Say He Has Tested Negative For COVID-19

President Donald Trump’s White House physician Dr. Sean Conley released a memo on Monday stating the president had recently tested negative for COVID-19 on consecutive days and is no longer contagious. Conley said in his memo a number of measures were used to test Trump and that he had tested negative on antigen tests instead of the more conclusive polymerase chain reaction test. Conley did not say on which days Trump tested negative. “This comprehensive data, in concert with the CDC’s guidelines for removal of transmission-based precautions, have informed our medical team’s assessment that the President is not infectious to others,” Conley said in the memo.

The news comes as Trump returns to the campaign trail Monday night with a rally in Florida after he and several White House and campaign aides were infected with Covid-19. “They say I’m immune. I feel so powerful,” Trump told the crowd in Sanford. “I’ll walk into that audience, I’ll walk in there, kiss everyone in that audience. I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women.”

Keira Knightley Exits Apple TV+’s ‘The Essex Serpent’ Due To Personal Family Issues

35-year-old Keira Knightley will no longer be starring in Apple TV+’s The Essex Serpent. The actor’s rep said in a statement that Knightley has exited the streaming service’s original series “due to family reasons” amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The statement reads, “Keira had to unfortunately pull out of The Essex Serpent due to family reasons. As the COVID cases increase in the U.K. and additional lockdown and restriction rules are potentially being imposed, with so many unknowns, there wasn’t a comfortable scenario for Keira that could be put in place for an extended period of child care required for the 4.5-month production.” Knightley is married to husband James Righton, with whom she shares daughters Delilah, 1, and Edie, 5.

It was reported in August that Knightley would star in and executive-produce the project, in which she was set to play Cora Seaborne. The series is an adaptation based on Sarah Perry’s 2017 novel of the same name. According to its description, the book is set in the late 19-century England and follows Cora, whose “brilliant, domineering husband dies,”When he passes, “she steps into her new life as a widow with as much relief as sadness: her marriage was not a happy one. Wed at nineteen, this woman of exceptional intelligence and curiosity was ill-suited for the role of society wife. Seeking refuge in fresh air and open space in the wake of the funeral, Cora leaves London for a visit to coastal Essex, accompanied by her inquisitive and obsessive eleven-year old son, Francis, and the boy’s nanny, Martha, her fiercely protective friend.”

Joshua Jackson Replaces Jamie Dornan in Peacock Network’s ‘Dr. Death’ Series

Joshua Jackson has joined Peacock’s Dr. Death series in the title role.  Actor Jamie Dornan had originally been cast as Dr. Christopher Duntsch in the series based on the hit Wondery podcast of the same name, but due to production delays caused by the pandemic, Dornan can no longer make the filming requirements work for his schedule and NBCUniversal had to recast the role. Jackson was announced as the new star of Dr. Death on Monday.

Production of Dr. Death is scheduled to begin this fall with a cast that also includes Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater. The original podcast told of Dr. Duntsch, a spinal surgeon who claimed to be the best in Dallas but whose patients began to experience severe and sometimes fatal complications from his surgeries. Jackson’s Dr. Duntsch on the show is a rising star in the Dallas medical community building a neurosurgery practice. When his victims start to pile up, neurosurgeon Robert Henderson (Baldwin) and vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Slater) set out to stop him.

Twitter Flags President Trump’s Tweet Claiming He Is ‘Immune’ To Covid-19

On Sunday, social media platform Twitter flagged a tweet in which President Donald Trump claimed he was now “immune” to COVID-19 after receiving treatment for the virus. Twitter hid the president’s tweet behind a warning, stating that it “violated Twitter rules about spreading misleading and potentially harmful information” related to the coronavirus.

Trump wrote in the Tweet: “A total and complete sign off from White House Doctors yesterday. That means I can’t get it (immune), and can’t give it. Very nice to know!!!” Trump’s tweet referenced a memo by his personal physician Dr. Sean Conley in which he said the president met Centers for Disease Control and Prevention criteria to safely emerge from isolation and is “no longer considered a transmission risk to others” but made no mention of immunity from the virus. The White House has also not confirmed whether Trump has tested negative since contracting the coronavirus.

The president also claimed immunity on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures saying he could be safe from contracting the virus “maybe a long time, maybe a short time, could be a lifetime” adding it was unclear how much immunity can be expected after recovery. Trump praised the staff at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he received three days of treatment for COVID-19 stating that the treatments he received were standard and “pretty routine.” Trump’s treatment, however, included an experimental antibody cocktail from Regeneron Pharmaceuticals known as REGEN-COV2.

Denver Police Identify Suspect In Fatal Shooting Near Opposing Protests

On Sunday, Denver authorities identified the security guard who was arrested after a fatal shooting near dueling protests by left-wing and right-wing demonstrators. The Denver Police Department said in a statement that Matthew Dolloff, 30, was being held for investigation of first-degree murder in a shooting Saturday outside the Denver Art Museum that left one man dead. Dolloff was being held without bond.

Authorities have not identified the victim of the shooting. The protests had taken place earlier at Denver’s Civic Center, where people had gathered for a “Patriot Rally” and a Black Lives Matter-antifa “soup drive.”  In an apparent response to social media posts linking Dolloff to the anti-fascist movement, the department said it was “unaware of whether the suspect is personally affiliated with any political organization.”

A Denver police official, Joe Montoya, said a verbal altercation preceded the shooting, which occurred as the protests were winding down. Photos of the confrontation captured by a Denver Post photographer appeared to show a man spraying something at another man with a handgun. Montoya said that video had been recovered, but he declined to provide details. He said two guns and a can of mace were found from the scene. He said investigators were still trying to determine what happened.
