Tracy Lawrence releases his latest project ‘Hindsight 2020 Volume 2: Price of Fame’

Tracy Lawrence has released the second installment of his three-part/30th anniversary project — “Hindsight 2020 Volume 2: Price of Fame.” The 12-track collection is the follow-up to the 12 songs previously released for “Volume 1: Stairway to Heaven Highway To Hell.”

The new project has Eddie Montgomery teaming up with Lawrence for the album’s title track “Price of Fame,” and Tracy Byrd joins Lawrence for “Holes in the Wall.” The album mixes new compositions with remakes of some of Lawrence’s classics.  Lawrence says of the project: “Can’t wait for everyone to hear this next set of songs – some we’ve given a second life to and also, the new ones that I hope fans embrace the way they’ve done over these past 30 years.”

Reba McEntire to release ‘Revived Remixed Revisited’ box set this October

Reba McEntire is set to release a new triple album boxed set titled ‘Revived Remixed Revisited’ on Oct. 8, featuring updates of many of her classic hits.

The latest project from McEntire has her teaming with producer Dave Cobb (known for his work with Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson and more) on the “Revisited” segment of the project. The “Remixed” portion features several producers’ work on reinventing some of McEntire’s classics. Black female remixer Lafemmebear will share a remix of Reba’s 2001 hit “I’m A Survivor,” while Dave Audé revamps McEntire’s 1991 hit “Fancy.” Tracy Young, known for crafting several Madonna remixes, reimagines McEntire’s 2010 hit “Turn on the Radio.” McEntire will also team up with Dolly Parton on a new version of McEntire’s 1993 classic “Does He Love You” (Linda Davis was McEntire’s duet partner on the original).

Selma Blair shares her life with multiple sclerosis in the trailer for her documentary “Introducing, Selma Blair”

Actress Selma Blair, best known for her work in films like “Cruel Intentions” and “Legally Blonde,” was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2018; and now she is sharing her battle against the disease in the new documentary “Introducing, Selma Blair.”

The documentary, directed by Rachel Fleit, explores Blair’s journey of personal acceptance and resilience as her condition progresses. Blair even says she believed she was “shooting the final days of (her) life” at one point during filming.  Blair said in the trailer (which can be viewed here):  “I was told to make plans for dying. Not because I have MS, because I’m fighting MS.”   When Blair first revealed her diagnosis in 2018, she said she had been experiencing symptoms for years, leading her to believe she might have had the disease for more than a decade. She wrote in an Instagram post at the time: “I have Multiple Sclerosis. I am in an exacerbation. I am disabled. I fall sometimes. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken GPS. But we are doing it.”

“Introducing, Selma Blair” will debut in theaters on October 15. It will then be available to watch on the streaming service Discovery+ on October 21.

‘Free Guy’ wins the weekend box office in its opening weekend, earning $28.4 million

‘Free Guy’ starring Ryan Reynolds debuted this weekend with an estimated $28.4 million in its opening weekend domestically, with another $22.5 overseas, for a worldwide total of $51 million.  Free Guy, directed by Shawn Levy, was given a wide release in 4,165 North American theaters by parent company Disney.

The video game-inspired film reportedly cost $100 million to make, and was released exclusively in theaters. Following Free Guy with an estimated $10.6 million from 3,005 theaters was ‘Don’t Breathe 2,’ a sequel to 2016’s hit thriller ‘Don’t Breathe’. Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’ starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt took the number three spot, with an estimated $9 million this weekend. The film has made $82 million domestically so far, and $154 million worldwide; however is also available for $30 on Disney+. At number four was the Aretha Franklin biopic ‘Respect,’ starring Jennifer Hudson.

Dierks Bentley takes time to stops and smell the roses

The pandemic for most is a hard way a of life, but some find that silver lining.. In an interview Dierk said “I wasn’t like literally jonesing (to play live) like maybe some people were,” , “I kind of saw an opportunity to re-balance my life in some way that would benefit me when live music did come back around. And that’s exactly what I did. I moved to Colorado and put the guitar in the closet and just was focusing on life adventures outside of the stage, and it was awesome.”… I say good for you!

Director Halle Berry gets down in upcoming film

Halle Berry has been throwing down in her last few movies… John Wick she trained like a beast for that roll, now with her directorial debut of her Netfix movie “Bruised”, which premieres in November. Berry said in an interview: “When you break something, it calcifies and it’s stronger. You don’t usually break the same bones twice,”. At 54 years of age now she plays an MMA role ad doing it well.
